Stand Up Sing Out
Folk Music For Social Change - 1230-3pm
The Wheatsheaf Hotel
Price: $10

Stand Up, Speak Out and Act To Prevent Men's Violence Against Women at The Wheaty on Sunday afternoon, November 20th. This is a family friendly event.

I'll be teaming up with local bands, Moss and Minority Tradition to demonstrate the value of music in helping social change. In the lead up to White Ribbon Day on November 25th, come and hear stories and songs from musicians who care about humanity and want to make a positive difference.

Tickets will be $10 at the door and music will start at 12:45 after doors open at 12:30.

White Ribbon is the world’s largest movement of men and boys working to end men’s violence against women and girls, promote gender equality, healthy relationships and a new vision of masculinity.
White Ribbon aims to create an Australian society in which all women can live in safety, free from violence and abuse.
White Ribbon works through a primary prevention approach understanding that men are central to achieving the social change necessary to prevent men’s violence against women. We engage men to stand up, speak out and act to influence the actions of some men and demand change. Through education, awareness-raising and creative campaigns, preventative programs and partnerships, we are empowering communities and men to be part of this social change.
